Atlantic Storms Causing  Giant Hole in Guatemala City
Many people are amazed to see the emergence of the giant hole that was almost perfect in the City of Guatemala City, Guatemala. The exact cause holes in the middle of the city was still a mystery.

"I can not say what the cause: It was not a result of geological and product was not an earthquake," said David Monterroso, geophysicists in Guatemala City.

"That's all we know. We must go down to check," he added as quoted by Xinhua on Wednesday (6/2/2010).

The giant hole formed following the heavy rain that fell constantly Agatha tropical storm which hit Guatemala and neighboring countries on Saturday, May 29th last. Mengaga hole in the middle of town with a diameter of 20 meters and a depth of nearly 300 meters.

A three-story building textile factory and a house into a sinkhole hole. According to local people, magic because not a single factory worker who was killed. For they have left the factory an hour before the giant hole formed.

"Those people were lucky," said one resident. "They went at six o'clock that afternoon, one hour before the earth opened," he added. Currently the police and soldiers on guard around the giant hole to prevent curious people to avoid getting too close to the dangerous area.

Most of the people who live around the hole has now been moved to another place. They worried that the hole will be widened and can swallow more homes. In 2007, a similar hole had formed in Guatemala City, killing three people. Some sinkhole house at the time.
